Name
URLSessionFormat
Synopsis
URLSessionFormat(url)If the client does not accept cookies, URLSessionFormat(
) appends appropriate client identification parameters
(CFID, CFToken,
jsessionid) to the end of the specified URL.
Otherwise, the URL is returned as is. This function provides similar
functionality to the addtoken attribute of the
cflocation tag. However,
URLSessionFormat( ) is more powerful and versatile
in that it only appends identification information in the event a
client does not support cookies. Additionally,
URLSessionFormat( ) can be used anywhere a URL is
coded, whereas cflocation is only used to redirect
a user to another location. Here’s an example that
uses URLSessionFormat( ) to create a link that
passes identification parameters only if your browser
doesn’t support cookies:
<cfoutput>
<a href="#URLSessionFormat("checkout.cfm")#">Check Out</a>
</cfoutput>
