Code Access Security

Shout "Code Access Security" in a room full of .NET programmers and you are certain to cause a wild stampede for the exits! Why? Code Access Security (CAS) has received a very bad rap over the years. Developers walk the extra mile to avoid it, or simply ignore it whenever possible. It's time to change that way of thinking because CAS is tied to every piece of code that runs on the .NET platform, SharePoint being no exception.
