12.6.1 Physical Modeling with Simulink
Simulink blocks represent basic mathematical operations. When we connect Simulink
blocks together, the resulting diagram is equivalent to the mathematical model of the sys-
tem under consideration. The term “Physical Modeling” represents modeling the systems
in a way that you would visualize them physically. This approach lets you describe the
physical structure of a system rather than the underlying mathematics, as we have done in
