Hosting WCF Data Services in Windows Azure

In Chapters Chapter 10 and Chapter 11, you were introduced to the Entity Framework (EF) and WCF Data Services, respectively. Those chapters describe how to create an Entity Data Model (EDM) over a SQL Server database, and how to query and update the EDM with any HTTP client using Representational State Transfer Protocol (REST) and OData. In this section, you are going to build on the knowledge you obtained from those chapters to create WCF Data Services deployed to Windows Azure—Microsoft’s cloud-based server operating system. Then, in the final section, you will consume these services from a FlixPoll client application built for Windows Phone 7.
