The Windows Runtime makes it easier than ever to create applications that connect to cloud-based services. The Roaming Storage APIs work with integrated support for Microsoft Accounts and the OneDrive (previously SkyDrive) storage service to enable apps to share settings across machine boundaries. The Web Authentication Broker APIs facilitate the secure use of services that support authentication and authorization via the OAuth and OpenID protocols.
