HAVE YOU EVER HEARD YOURSELF say, “I’m a process person,” or “I’m a people person”? Some people naturally thrive on the operations side, while others love engaging, inspiring, and leading people.

One of our consultants, Dave, illustrated this point when he asked a group of people if they felt more aligned to the people side or the process side of project management. He asked the participants who were “people people” to walk to one side of the room, and those who were “process people” to walk to the other side of the room. At first, it looked like no one was going to the people side. But after a minute, a handful of men and women trickled over.
