Evaluation and review
Introduction
Before considering evaluation and review in a project management context, it is useful to revisit where monitoring, evaluation and impact assessment may begin and end in relation to projects. Figure 7.1 shows the results chain in any project from intervention to effects. Project monitoring is primarily concerned with the details of the intervention itself (what was done), while evaluation (and review) focuses on its effects.
