Sprawling and avoiding take-down—The ground is the last place any
protective detail member wants to be in a ght. Even if you
have the ground ghting skills of Royce Gracie, if you are on the
ground because of being attacked, you are out of the game. The
detail will be focused on protecting the principal and getting that
person to a safe and fortied location and leaving you in the pro-
cess. If you are charged by an adversary in a tackle-style attack,
sprawl your legs back and wide, lowering your center of gravity,
