Explosives
“Post-Blast Investigations” is a 32-hour course put on by both the U.S.
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) and the
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). It provides a good introduction into
explosives, including commercial, military, and improvised, along with
the various methods of triggering devices.
“Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings” is a 32-hour course devel-
oped by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. This course provides
a much more detailed examination into the use and blast effects of com-
mercial, military, and improvised explosives. It culminates with the stu-
