3.6 Integrated transport infrastructure approach
Consider an intermodal trip between any given origin (O) and destination (D), as shown
in Figure 3.25. The same can be made using various mode options and their corresponding
infrastructure, in such a way that it optimizes the complete journey of travelers from origin
to destination. While we plan the integrated transportation infrastructure to improve mo-
bility and accessibility for all, it is important that we consider various scenarios consisting
of combinations of different modes
