The train scheduling model is developed to obtain the optimal frequencies for rail operation

on the newly identified rail routes (Figure 6.29) and also to find the total number of trains

required for each route and thus the total train fleet size required for the study area. The

external parameters, which are required before running the ESA, are enumerated below.
