Sending real-time alerts using IFTTT

To have a chance at getting these cheap fares, we're going to need to know in near real time when they happen. To accomplish this, we'll use a service called If This Then That (IFTTT). This is a free service that allows you to connect a huge number of services together with a series of triggers and actions. Want to save all the pictures that you've liked on Instagram to your iPhone Photos? Want to get an e-mail every time a particular person tweets? Want your Facebook updates posted to Twitter? IFTTT does all of this and more.

To get started with IFTTT:
