The top graph, ROP is less than Q is set up as follows:
ROP less than Q is plotted on the horizontal axis and Inventory Level is on the vertical axis.
The origin is marked with a zero.
A line begins about three quarters of the way up the vertical axis.
It descends steeply down and to the right until it hits the horizontal axis.
The line then ascends straight up, ending parallel to its starting point.
This pattern of steep sloping descent and a vertical rise is repeated two more times, ending on the sloped descent.
A dashed line labelled ROP extends right from about half an inch up the vertical axis until it reaches the second sloped line. From there, the line makes a ninety degree right turn and descends to the horizontal axis, ...
