National Sales Management

Carl oversees a nationwide sales force of 150 reps, plus managers and support staff. His main problem is capturing and sharing information—keeping everyone on the same page, whatever their local office, current on-the-road location, or time zone. In particular, he wants to make sure that sales reps get the most current information about pricing, products, and promotions. When salespeople travel, it’s tough for them to keep up with the flood of information generated at headquarters. Back in the home office, the staff may add new procedures, update price lists, change credit policies, and so on. Even if they remember to notify the sales force by email, somebody’s laptop may miss or eat the message. A solution that gives the sales force access to the corporate information they need, wherever they happen to be and whenever they’re looking for it, would be ideal.
