R is not known as a language for image processing, but its capabilities in that arena, as in others, are expanding all the time. To get you started with image processing, I take you through the magick package for manipulating, modifying, and combining pictures.
Polishing a Picture: It's magick!
The magick package is a recent development in R, designed to make life easier for anyone who wants to process images. On the Packages tab, click Install to open the Install Packages dialog box. In the dialog box, type magick and click the Install button. When the package finishes downloading, select its check box on the Packages tab.
