were

coasr,
after

it
returned
to
base
about
a
half
an
hour
later.
We
were
all
wildly
excired. Mv
recollection
of
subsequent
events
is
nor
clear,
but
I
remember
that
Warson
\Vatt
rang
up
the
Commanding
Officer
at
Felixstowe
and
asked
if
one
or
his flying
boats
had
just
landed.
'Yes'
said
the
Commanding
Officer
and
on
receiving
this
assurance
Watson
Wan
promptly
asked:
'Would
you
please
ask
the
pilot
to
take
off
and
fly
