This chapter is for those who have subordinate supervisors reporting to them.
Rereading the data in chapter 2 will make clear that while you can strongly influence your direct-report supervisors’ levels of engagement, you cannot touch the engagement levels of employees who report to them. But you can hold your supervisors accountable for specific outcomes and behaviors to ensure they build highly engaged teams.
