This recipe shows how to use the
raspi-config utility to configure remote access to the Raspberry Pi.
For most network applications, a graphical user interface (a GUI desktop) is not needed. The memory and processing power spent creating a GUI desktop can be invested in a better in the network application. The majority of the recipes in this book are written so that they can be used remotely without a graphical user interface.
If you have installed a Raspbian Linux distribution (as recommended in Chapter 1, Installation and Setup), secure remote access via the SSH protocol is already enabled.
