A key policy objective of government entities is the creation of affordable housing for low-income families. It is clear that when low-income communities flourish, the spillover effects create gains for everyone. Understanding the measures that governments can take to alleviate severe poverties in certain communities gives us important insights on how we can develop cities that foster environments ripe for social mobility and prosperity.
