SKIPPING STONES TO SUCCESS
I wanted to change the world, but I have found that the only thing one can be sure of changing is oneself.
It was a beautiful day as I pulled into the parking lot near the pond. As I sat there, I reviewed a number of e-mails from successful users of the ACRE system. It is a real pleasure reading about all the success that investors are creating by following the system.
There was a knock on the car window. Richard was standing there with a smile on his face and a sunburned nose. He had obviously enjoyed his time at the beach with the family.
“Great seeing you, Richard, and nice Rudolph nose. It looks like you followed through on your celebration trip. Congratulations.”
“It was awesome; everyone had a good time, even the kids. The fish and chips had that beach combination of sand and ketchup, just like I remember as a kid. And the best news is that Emma got to see me doing the background homework on the town. I spoke with the economic development officer and used the score card to get as many answers as I could. Emma and I even went through the local real estate newspaper together while the kids enjoyed the beach. She’s not completely sold yet, but I think she’s seeing how I’ve changed, especially when I kept repeating the mantra—focus on the fundamentals and remove the emotions.” He paused and added, “Anyway, why are we meeting here?”
