Chapter Two. Creating Custom Templates
Whenever you start a new project, SketchUp creates a new, untitled file by creating a duplicate of whichever template you’ve selected as the default.
As mentioned at the end of the previous chapter, you can set or change the default template by selecting from the list located in SketchUp Preferences > Templates. (In case you’re wondering, the examples in this book were created using the “Beginning Training Template - Inches” template.)
You’ll probably find that a number of templates seem to work pretty well for the kind of work you do, or plan to do, in SketchUp. Over time, however, it is likely that you will refine the types of projects that you work on, and the ways in which you work on them.
