Look around you. Unless you’re fully color-blind, everything around you has color. It’s not really surprising that folks have wanted to work with color in their documents since ... well, since they’ve been creating documents! What is surprising is how complicated working with color can be, especially with all this computer equipment that’s supposed to make life easy for us.
