11.14. Using the UDDI SDK

The previous two examples showed you how to invoke UDDI APIs directly by sending and receiving SOAP messages. This is great for learning but once you've learned the API you'll want a library that handles all the details of SOAP messaging and lets you focus on the UDDI API itself. Microsoft's UDDI SDK provides such a library. The SDK comes in two flavors: A .NET class library and a COM component.

Both SDKs provide a nice object model that wraps the underlying UDDI APIs and data structures. The purpose of these objects is to free you from directly manipulating SOAP messages and XML documents.
