PRESSURE
The amount of pressure you apply to your pencils will influence how your piece turns out. We all have a natural pressure that we feel comfortable applying; some of us are light-handed by nature, while others are more heavy-handed.
With colored pencil, it’s key to vary your pressure to get the results you want. Using very light pressure when first starting a piece enables you to get a feel for the subject you’re drawing without the worry of not being able to erase any areas or damaging the paper early on by indenting it unnecessarily.
