Adjuvant therapy: additional cancer treatment given after the primary treatment to lower the risk that the cancer will come back. Adjuvant therapy might include chemotherapy, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, targeted therapy, or biological therapy.

Aggressive cancer: cancer that is fast growing.

Alopecia: hair loss. Alopecia is almost always temporary; hair grows back when therapy is finished.

Anemia: a shortage of red blood cells. This can cause weakness and fatigue.
