Abstract

Context-based recommender system is the current trend incorporated in mobile devices. It provides the user their timely needs by considering the current location of the user in an effective manner. Location-based recommendation has three major services such as Geo-tagged media based services, Point location based services and Trajectory based services. In geo-tagged media-based services social media data such as photos, tags posted by the user are considered widely for providing recommendation. Geo-tagged data has an important role to play in Twitter, Instagram and Flickr dataset. Geo-tagged data has its wide range of applications in the field of Tourism, Smart traffic management, guidelines for roads, safety and health monitoring, etc. Thus the proposed work considers the context attributes along with the services provided by the social media for achieving better recommendation.
