The Lubriclear Process from the National Center for Environmental Research:
This involved carbon membrane separation of the base oils from the contaminants.
Demonstration units of 75 gallons (284 L) per day had been built in the United States
and Canada. Problems were expected to be the expense of the membranes and their
fouling.

is treated in a destructor unit whose function is unknown before separation and
hydrotreatment of the fuel products. The rst mobile unit of 500 kg (1103 lbs.) per
