Employee engagement is a hot topic in many organizations. The Gallup organization has been tracking engagement data for many years, and, unfortunately, the results are not encouraging.
To better understand the research, we must look at the types of Employee Engagement. Most researchers and organizations use a 3-tier definition as shown on the following page. According to the Gallup research, the percentage of U.S. workers that are considered “Engaged” in their jobs has maintained an average of about 30% in the last six years.
