inside, the view gave the impression that it was just a small room, maybe
six by eighteen feet. However, there was a much larger room behind it.
Being new to the plant, it was a while before I learned of the backroom.
One day, I saw an employee go through a door under a stairwell and close
it. Being curious, I decided to see what was behind that door. e door was
locked. I knocked, but nothing happened. ere was a glass window on
the door, but it had been spray-painted over. I knocked again. Still noth-
ing. I went to the key box in my oce and saw a “maintenance” key, so I
grabbed it.
