Actual reduction factor of power distribution lines

Abstract

This chapter presents the only so far known methodology for the determination of ground-fault current distribution when high-voltage substations are located in urban or suburban areas, or where many relevant data necessary for the determination of this distribution are uncertain or completely unknown. The developed methodology enables compensating deficiency of an arbitrarily large number of relevant data about metal installations involved with the fluctuating magnet field produced by a power line during a ground fault.
