About the Authors

Prof. He Ren is the acting chief engineer at the Shanghai Aircraft Customer Service Centre of Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC). His task is science and technology innovations in ARJ21 and C919 programs. His research has covered the areas of aircraft reliability, safety, airworthiness certification, maintenance, and so forth.

Prof. Ren has extensive working experience globally. He has worked for aeronautical industries for more than 18 years, including aviation industries in China, Airbus, Boeing, Royal Air Force Australia (RAAF), and Defence Science and Technology Organization (DSTO–Australia).
