CBERS-04A has great potential for land surface monitoring in different applications in rural and urban areas. With the Wide Scan Multispectral and Panchromatic (WPM) camera of the CBERS-04A satellite it is possible to obtain panchromatic images at 2-m spatial resolution and multispectral images at 8-m spatial resolution with revisiting the same region every 31 days.
