Estimation of Physical Parameters

This chapter revises the main problems and methods used in the field of model inversion and estimation of physical parameters from remotely sensed images. The number and accuracy of current methods (either physically-based inversion, statistical methods or combined approaches) has made possible the prediction of atmospheric parameters, crop characteristics, and ocean state.
