There are many articles and blogs written that discuss the importance of company culture in large corporations, but company culture should be considered an important factor for companies of every size, from a one-person shop to a small business and beyond. The culture is what drives the people within the company to make the decisions they make each day. It drives how they interact with customers and coworkers; it defines how they act or react to unforeseen circumstances. In a large part, company culture represents the essence of the company.

Every business has developed a company culture that guides the everyday actions of its people. However, it is not unusual that a company leader is not aware of their own company culture.
