Doing What You Want

Thirty years, say from age fifty-five to eighty-five, is a long time. It’s as long as from age twenty-five to fifty-five. It’s enough time to do “it” all over again—differently, better, and with the benefit of experience and the freedom of focus. It is certainly way too long to keep doing something that you’ve already discovered you don’t enjoy. If your dreams for the next stage of your life do not include continuing on with your current employer, there are many other options to consider.
