Acknowledgments

I am continually amazed at how much effort it takes to bring a book to market. Writing the body copy is one thing, but a book like Return on Engagement—with sidebars, software reviews, tutorials, case study interviews, and a handful of other features—requires so much more collaborative effort than just an author sitting at a café with a laptop (though there was plenty of that as well).

My first book, Managing Interactive Media Projects, took about a year and a half to write with the help of a couple people. This book was banged out in about half that time but with the efforts of twice as many people.
