Initial Site Survey
An initial site survey is a detailed study of a site to assess and analyze the company’s business processes and determine how RFID can be integrated into those processes. The site survey involves more than just establishing potential reader and antenna locations. It involves assessment and analysis of the physical process flow of products, all existing IT infrastructure, any environmental influences that may affect the implementation, and understanding the data management systems in which the RFID information will be processed.
