When it comes to the image-making aspect of photography, I am a nut about a few things: Setting the exposure for the highlights, as you have learned in the preceding chapters, is one of them.

When it comes to downloading and backing up my files, I am a total nut about getting this done, especially when I travel to a remote destination.

In this chapter I thought I’d share with you my workflow for preserving and backing up my photo memories—using my favorite image from Mongolia, which opens this chapter, and some favorite images, below, from a photo workshop I lead to the Ponderosa Ranch in Oregon.
