Rigging, alongside procedural VFX such as particles and dynamics, are probably the most complex and challenging areas in the 3D pipeline. In addition to the creative aspect of it, they offer for the most part technical challenges that are not found to the same extent in the other production departments. Riggers usually embody a combination of artistic skill and technical know-how.
