The act of solving puzzles can be one of life’s most fascinating aspects. And I’m not talking about only us humans, either. Ever watched a parrot trying to figure out how to untie a knot, or a mouse work its way through a maze? Puzzles are everywhere, from mind-bending logical conundrums to simple actions like using a clothespin to hold a nail you need to hammer into a wall. They’re all puzzles in their way, and getting to that “Aha!” moment (not the band, but then again—it was the 80s!) In this chapter, we are going to take that innate curiosity and use it to solve mechanical rigging puzzles.
