Rigging Meep

We are ready now to tackle our first foray into creature rigging. Meep will be the first character we will tackle. Being a mechanical creature, the focus will initially be on the concepts of joint placements, joint behaviors, controllers and custom joint attributes and functionalities without worrying about enveloping the mesh and creating the deformations associated with organic creatures. As we proceed, we will write and use small utility scripts to help us out with the rigging process. This will give us a solid foundation as we move onto the character of Leaf later on in the book.
