This chapter discussed how common risk assessment techniques could be used to perform risk assessments of aviation-related activities. Almost all of the risk assessment tools and techniques presented and discussed in this book can be applied to a wide range of aviation maintenance and inspection tasks. Also, they can, of course, be applied to marine, rail, and other transportation tasks.
