How one library enhanced its security

Abstract

An occupational health and safety committee analyzed a library’s security problems and recommended ways to solve them. The committee discovered that theft remains a risk at all of the library’s sites, and that currently thieves can steal a variety of items. Nothing is safe. Also under the committee’s review were angry patrons and their inappropriate behavior. Online crime included accessing pornography and bullying.
