Surviving by committee
A fictional library director asks one of the library’s managers to form a disaster planning committee. This committee will comprise representatives from all of the library’s main departments. The director advises the manager to take a series of steps, including the development of measures for preparedness, response, and resumption. Plans should be brief and readable. Members of the library’s board will have questions about various aspects of the plan. No disaster plan will ever be finished. A sample 6-week agenda for any library disaster planning committee is included.
