FACES AND HEADS
Although you do need to make sure that all your mattes accurately isolate your focus objects, faces may require an extra bit of attention. This is generally where the audience will be focusing its attention, which means that the person double-checking your mattes will probably be looking in the same area as well. If you miss a frame or two of sliding in the bottom screen-left corner of your matte, it might not be a huge deal. However, if the matte on our hero’s square jaw is a fraction of a pixel off its mark, it’s a good bet that there will be an issue that will require a bit more of your attention.
