With the network of Figure 6-4 fully functional, and peer-session templates configured, a good next step is to add some policy examples. The objective of this section is not to examine the many policy options available to BGP (you learned that in Chapter 4, “BGP and Routing Policies,” and Chapter 5), but instead to provide an example of applying policy in an MBGP configuration. The same policy options (prefix filtering, communities, LOCAL_PREF and MEDs, and so on) that are available to IPv4 unicast routes are also available to IPv6 unicast routes.
