Now that we’ve developed a framework for Lean IT integration throughout the enterprise, let’s turn our attention to how the different subspecialties of IT integrate with each other to realize this vision.

As Dan Jones insists in the Foreword, for Lean thinking to truly deliver on its promise, we must adopt a process-centered view of the entire enterprise. This means understanding how all the functions, capabilities, and people deliver value to the customer, so everyone can strive for a shared purpose and eliminate the waste that stands in their way.
