Chapter 7. Populating Guest Images

In the preceding chapters, we discussed how to use prebuilt guest images and how to manage guests based on existing images. In this chapter, we describe how to create new customized guest images. We first show how to install a Hardware Virtual Machine (HVM) guest such as Windows XP using standard install CD materials. We then describe how to populate paravirtualized guests using several popular Linux distributions.
