Overview

In part III of this book, we discussed planning and executing a Program Increment (PI), as well as the Inspect and Adapt (I&A) event for a single Agile Release Train (ART). But as discussed in chapter 12, ‘Defining Large and Complex Solutions,’ when it comes to building really big systems, a single ART cannot do the job alone. With this context in mind, we described a Solution Train that is used to define and build large and complex solutions that require the coordination of multiple ARTs as well as the contributions of suppliers.
