Microsoft SQL Server 6 and 6.5 feature a Windows-based interactive SQL application called iSQL/W, which is ideal for testing and experimenting with SQL statements. To use iSQL/W, do the following:
Launch the iSQL/W application (from the Microsoft SQL Server 6 or Microsoft SQL Server 6.5 program group).
You'll be prompted for server and login information. Log in to your SQL Server (starting the server if appropriate).
When the query screen is displayed, select the database from the drop-down DB list box.
Type your SQL in the large text window, and then click the Execute Query button (the one with the green arrow) to execute it. (You can also click Ctrl+E or select Execute from the Query menu.)
